Motorola Moto Z Revisited: What Went Wrong?

We revisit the Motorola Moto Z to see what the company did right, as well as what the company did wrong. For a device that launched in Q3 of 2016, it still features many specs that rival the current flagships. The standard Moto Z features a 5.5″ QHD AMOLED display, 13MP main camera, Snapdragon 820 CPU with 4GB RAM, 2,600mAh battery and runs Android 7.0 Nougat. You can upgrade to the Moto Z Force for about $100 more, which gets you a 21MP main camera, ShatterShield display, and larger 3,500mAh battery. How do you think the Moto Z smartphones stand today?
